چکیده :
As connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) evolve, ensuring their security and reliability becomes paramount. Blockchain technology offers a promising solution to address the unique challenges posed by CAVs, including data integrity, availability, and secure communication. This paper presents a comprehensive survey of blockchain technology solutions applied to CAVs, exploring its potential to mitigate various attacks and security issues. We begin by outlining the key features of blockchain that make it suitable for CAV applications. Next, we identify both technical and non-technical challenges and requirements associated with CAVs. We then analyze the security issues inherent in CAVs, emphasizing the need for robust and scalable solutions. The core of this survey focuses on existing blockchain-based solutions, highlighting their strengths and limitations in enhancing CAV security. Finally, we discuss open challenges and future research directions to advance the integration of blockchain technology in CAVs. Through this survey, we aim to provide a clear understanding of the current state of blockchain applications in CAVs and to foster further research in this critical area.
